After such a strong start last week had a little set back. I never like set backs cause they always involve me getting injuried. Last week while I was out for a 5 mile run, I pulled my calf muscle. 3 miles into the run and it tightens and pulls on me... I hate that!!!! Had to walk th rest of the way home set me back on time getting ready for work, so needless to say that was a bad start to the day. I ended up taking the rest of the week off but now I am back at it!!!
Last Saturday went to a TRX boot camp, wow that was a great workout!!! Full hour of TRX work and some oter exercises!!! I needed that as it was a family birthday weekend which means food, beer, cake, and not much else... while it was an awesome time in th midst of a st back it hurt a little bit. Back to the TRX Boot camp, if you ever geta chance to do one... DO IT!!! Fantastic workout!!!! Then getting back on track this week with my cross fit workouts and ready to hit the pavement again for a small run!!!!

Getting Motivated Again
Hey All,
Time to get back on track, I was feeling unmotivated to run lately and really want to change that. While I had been doing some cross fit workouts (Todd has been awesome) my running has been slipping and losing site of my goal to run a half marathon in all 50 states. I have hit the wall at 11 halfs in 10 different states. But have nothing yet for 2013, I think it is about time to sign up... Space Coast Half in December here I come!!!
This is going to be my start to get back motivated, and it started with a great 4 mile run this morning, an then it will continue on Thursday and Saturday!!!!
Motivation will also need to come in form of diet, that is where I have really been slacking lately... time to find my way back to the things that led me to the weight loss and now it is time to go for that next 20 lbs... so really going to try to limit my sugars and junk... go more healty snacks!!! Started off with some Seed/Nut/Fruit trail mix that I have fallen in love with!!!!
Here's to the next few days.

Madison Training Week One in the Books
So yesterday (Sunday) completed week one of training for the half marathon. 16.8 miles, 3.44 Tuesday, 2.3 Wednesday, 3.46 Thursday and Saturday, and a final 4.16 on Sunday. Now I will say all this was done on the "Hamster Wheel" and I think that week 2 day 1 will be the same. But on the upside, Wednesday morning should be great weather to go outside for a run!!! It appears all week will be that nice.
Here's to another 16 plus miles this week!!! Even though the schedule has 15 on the map!!! Yes I am overachieving now!!!

Been Awhile
So it's been a while since my last post... it's Sunday and I am watching golf, well trying but the hail storm in AZ is holding things up. The best part about watching golf on a Sunday means that spring and summer are here!!!!!!
Also sitting here thinking that on Tuesday Rhett turns 6 months old, it is amazing how fast 6 months can fly when you are having so much fun!!! He really is a blast, sitting up now, playing with all of his toys, and soon we think he'll be starting to take off crawling all over!!! The down side of him turning 6 month is the teething... more are starting to pop through and he is in pain, or sounds like he is in pain... that is no fun listening to that but we hope it won't be long before this is over...
As for my workouts... we are starting the last week of the insanity program!!! Still need to get a good workout in today but the program is almost over. But there really is no rest cause next Monday 3/7, the 12 week program for the half marathon training starts!!! The cool thing about that is we are only 12 weeks away from vacation!!!!! Overall the insanity program is great!!! Lost about 7 lbs, but I can tell my clothes are fitting better and I am definitely stronger!!! I will do the program again, and I will probably find away to keep it in the plan for my half marathon training. Well have a good one!

I'm back
So now that the travel is done for the the rest of the Insanity program, the month of Feb. and now that the "rest week" is over as well. Yesterday, was the start of the second half of the program. The "Max Intervals", oh my goodness. I could not believe the workout. While it was a little longer today (1:30) but the first half hour was the fit test they have you do. Improvement in 7 of 8 categories, the power jumps stayed the same, the rest all saw pretty good jumps. But then came the craziness, the Max Interval workouts are an hour long and have some of the craziest moves I have ever seen. Needless to say, I got a great workout in and feel great (minus the muscle soreness).
I will say that I have not been good on the diet, but traveling and weddings are always hard on the diet. I am excited to see how it goes starting this week. Lisa is now going to be a full time stay at home mom, so we have the dinner schedule planned out, enchilada's tonight!!! So wish me luck, time to get ready for church and then back to the Max Interval Plyo workout (I am scared).

The Return
So, I'm back... spent the past couple of days in training in St. Charles, IL. That place is a diet killer, but I did well, got one small workout in, tried to not eat all the junk food there (but it taste so good). I did end up gaining a pound out there but overall I call it a win.
So back to the workout in the morning!!! Next stop KC this weekend for a wedding, I will do my best to keep up the workouts through this weekend as well. After that I don't think I have any excuses till the end of the program.

With the Good comes the Bad
So I guess when you have good days there will be some bad days as well. I don't think today was totally horrible, I just had a night that could have been better. Overall I was able to stay under 2500 calories for the day but most of them came at dinner and after. The good part is that I had a great workout this morning with the Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs!!!! Now with that said the rest of the day was pretty good I would say...
After watch the cats lose, now they did start to play better but not much solace there, we headed out for some gift certificate shopping. I ended up being able to get a couple of new pairs of pants (Pure Black and Charcoal Grey)!!! Then a trip to DSW where a new pair ofwork shoes was the goal, call that a success and as an added bonus of a new pair of warm boots to walk to work. I do feel a little bad about these as we used part of Lisa's GC's. Hahaha... I will repay her at some point with some new shoes, I promise.
Well we now have the little man off to sleep and I need to help clean up the house as we have some great football to watch tomorrow. As well as hopefully another great workout.
